STRIKE OUT USH with REBECCA ALEXANDER!
Rebecca Alexander, a board member of the Usher Syndrome Society and lives with Usher syndrome (USH), is bringing awareness to USH by throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Major League Baseball Games this season.
Help us raise awareness and funding to find a cure for Usher syndrome, the leading genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness, by supporting Usher Syndrome Society at our next #StrikeOutUSH event in NYC. MLB Ophthamologist, Dr Laby, will escort Rebecca to the mound for the first pitch.
Our Bi-annual Gala was made possible by the help of our sponsors! Thank You! We couldn't have done it without you.
Make some connections of your own and visit these great Deaf-Blind resources:
Ava's Voice supports the Visual Experience Foundation at their "Bowling for Vision" event on February 26, 2017. As a result of this event two woman from Africa with Glaucoma will have an opportunity to see Niagara Falls and visit NYC.
Your support of Ava's Voice raises awareness for Usher Syndrome, funds research for a cure and provides experiences for families affected by vision and hearing loss.
